Hoe Do I Flash the BIOS?

I've downloaded the BIOS files for a GA-6MM7 motherboard from here :

but it provides me with no instructions.

I've extracted the three files (they are 6wmm7.f6, autoexec, and FLASH860) of total size 984 KB and put them onto a floppy. i then tried starting up the pc from the floppy but it just asked me to insert a system disk.

So how do I flash the bios please?

Why do you want to flash the BIOS?

That is a very old and very basic motherboard.

Just curious to know what you want to achieve.

The reason is that one of the menus in the BIOS wasn't working properly. When I selected it, the computer just froze until I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS by using the reset jumper or removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes (with the pc disconnected from the mains)?

Clearing the CMOS will remove any corrupt settings and reload the manufacturers settings from the BIOS rom.

You will need to reset the date and time afterwards.

If you haven't already tried this,it is worth doing before taking the potentially risky step of flashing the BIOS rom.

Motherboard manual click here

Clear CMOS jumpre identified on page 18.

Yes, tried removing the battery and resetting the jumper but neither worked.
