I need to burn an image file of about 750MB. Nero wont accept DVD discs. It has to be done on a CD ROM R/W. Apart from the link for 730MB CD ROM R/W discs are discs with a higher density or recording space atually available and where?

thank you!

No. You can only do it with DVD disc

Overburning with your DVD\CD Burner can Destroy it

Nero does accept DVD discs

How old is your version of Nero.

Nero 7 or newer will accept and burn to DVD's if you have a DVD R/W

If you are using Nero Express Essentials and burning an image all you have to do when you get to the final burn window is change it to DVD.

If you are using Nero burning ROM essentials When the Nero compilation window opens change it from CD to DVD.

Nero as to use a DVD Driver, If you got Nero with the Computer it will not have the driver. You can buy this from Nero. Version of Nero with Computers are lite versions

CDBurnerXP, which is a free download, will burn to CDs, DVDs (and Blu-Ray). I use it instead of Nero, which I found unreliable.

Then as long as you actually have a DVD burner, you can burn to a DVD. This is the only safe and reliable way to go - as woodchip says, you could break your writer.
