Help wanted with possible virus infection.

  ianeon 09:34 31 May 2010

Good morning,
I ran "Windows One Care Safety Scanner" It indicated that my computer was infected by a virus: Win32/Alureon.H, it couldn't delete this virus, it couldn't tell me where it was on my computer.
I then ran my NortonInternetSecurity,Malwarebytes Anti-malware, IObit Security 360, and A-Squared.Free
None of these detected this virus.
Do I have a virus or is it a false positive?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

It seems it may be some kind of Rootkit so not sure what you would need to remove it.

Maybe try This one.

make sure you download Sophos anti-rootkit and not spyware doctor.
Worth a try if nothing else works.

FRUIT BAT - Thank you for that it removed something, it didn't say what - lol - but it got rid of something.
BUTEMAN - thank you for that thought - I shall now look for an "anti-rootkit" programme to run regularly on my computer.
