Help with setting up Voip please?

  Effie 12:48 02 Aug 2008

Can anyone one guide me with how to setup a voip connection using a voip provider not based in the country I am living in?

I have looked at voip forums but can't find answers to my query. Hopefully, there are many forum members who have been in similar situations and can shed some light on what I can do to remedy my predicament.

My situation is I'm in Southern Ireland and need to call the UK a lot.

I'm not wanting to go down the Skype road and need my package to be via my Linksys RT31P2 ATA router to connect to landlines in the Uk. If I can get one, I also need an unlimited talk package that caters for this and having only had an Irish based provider in the past, I have no idea how to get a new Voip setup up and running.

Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
