Help KAKA.exe trojan

  manderson60 10:55 14 Mar 2010

I cannot connect to the internet on my husbands lap top. He was working on the laptop and got a sudden alert about a virus. He ran Norton and it told him the system was fine.

After that we can no longer connect to internet. When I reviewed the browsing history I found KAKA\c:user\anderson\appdata\tpckeu\equofstav.exe\netalert.html

I tried downloading a removal tool onto PC and transferred it via USB key. However it was unable to find anything.

Can anyone help please.

it looks like part of this.

Try malwarebytes free and see if that will remove it.

I should have said try running your security programs in safe mode.
[Just keep tapping F8 as the computer starts.]

Another very good one is Trojan Remover.
it is a pay for program but you get a 30 day trial and it will remove anything that it finds. If it asks for payment ignore it and carry on with the scan.

Download it from the menu bar.
