Hi guys,

I have some film on a camcorder I need to get distributed around my company. The files start of on the camcorder as MOV files. I have downloaded a codec as I couldnt not play them in that format from my PC. So after I downloaded the codec and renamed them MPEG files so I could watch them on the PC. Problem now is, whatever software I use to burn them onto a DVD doesnt work. I think this is to do maybe with the fact that MPEG only burns to VCD Not DVD. However the size of the films are much bigger than would fit on a CD-R. Any ideas on what I need to do to get these files burnt as a DVD.

Thanks guys got a marketing Director breathing down my neck!

Mpeg does burn to dvd, what software have you tried.

Something like Nero,Sonic,etc...will do all the work for you.

Does your camcorder and pc have firewire ports availble ?

You can't just rename a .mov file to .mpeg and expect it to behave as an mpeg file, it has to be converted to the mpeg format.

You did not say but I aaume your are using XP's own burn routine
You do need third party software to burn DVD's
Down load CDburner XP Pro 3 -its free and will do the job.
Just Google for it
