HDD jumper settings

Hi,Have Hitachi HDT722516DLAT80 which has multiple jumper settings ,i would like to set it as slave ,have tried it and pc rcognises disk but will not boot

Do you have another bootable drive and is the jumper on it set to 'Master?

Does the other drive have an OS installed?

Why do you want to set it as slave? is it an extra harddrive?

PC will not boot from a slave drive, it boots from the master Harddrive that contains the Operating System on C: partition.

A slave HDD is fitted as an extra HDD for storage.
