I have just tried to plug my external HDD into my pc and it says it is corrupted and unreadable. It was working literally 5 minutes beforehand on my pc, i unplugged it, plugged it into my laptop to transfer some files, after this i unplugged it and plugged it back into my pc and the error comes up saying:

F:\ is not accessible.

The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

Please help as i need the HDD to work on this pc!

I advise to put it back onto laptop and copy the contents whilst you have the chance.

After that you can try fixing it. It might be that you unplugged it whilst files were still being written to it. You should disable file caching on external drives to avoid this problem. Here's howto: click here
