Either I am getting a really good picture on my TV or I am getting no improvement from the HD channels. I cannot see any difference at all, but that might be down to the reception I am getting since my area went fully digital. I actually get a worse service than pre full digital days. So the jury is still out for me on whether HD is all its cracked up to be.
Which of course has little to do with your question.
SparkyJack - as for the first point, if you are viewing it on your computer monitor you would notice the difference between normal and HD, especially if viewing full screen. I just tested it myself on a 15.4" laptop 2 days ago.
If your tellys not up to it and you're wondering whether it's worth upgrading, well, you have just upgraded your computer kit . . . was it worth doing that at your age?
Go on, get some glasses - plenty of life left in you yet !!
Also, almost any flat screen telly will be HD ready, so go treat yourself. Prices start at under £100 for the smallest screen and you can get a HD Freeview Panasonic Viera 32" for £300.
