Windows 10 runs T/B without any problem.
Do you have a backup of your T/B profile. More to the point is if you do regular backups of your data. If so then It is advisable to create the profile in your "Documents" folder and back it up as part of your normal system.
You can create a profile by:
Run/thunderbird -p and in the pop up box create a new profile.
Might be too late for this but a precaution for the future.
