I bought a belkin router which has ethernet plugs but I have a usb fitting on my external modem(seedtouch)- can I do anything about this?Thanks

See what in the thread?You have a USB modem that can't connect to a Router that only has a Ethernet input.I have shown you a link to a router that does accept a USB input which is what your thread appears to ask for.If you want something different please explain what.
Hi, Methinks you should have checked before you bought , but, you may be able to change your router. personally I would change the modem for one with USB and Ethernet connections. We all live and learn. Cheers, Bill
You could buy an Ethernet to USB adapter.I have one made by D-Link, which cost about £10.Incidentally, I also have the Belkin router which is very good.
