i have just purchased new motherboard,procesor,harddrive i was originally going to upgrade my existing pc but decided to buy a case and use old parts for childrens pc how can i format and install windows98se on new pc(new motherboard harddrive)can i use the startup disk from old computer .

98se will install from the CD if you go into your BIOS and select CD drive as first drive. So format your new hard drive then install from the CD.

but how do i format hard disk without boot floppy for new computer

windows cd will do it for you

Boot PC and you will be on the bios page, enter and format drive, and as above select CD drive as first bootable disk, power down, insert 98se into drive and re-boot at the prompt type the word: SETUP, without the , and off you jolly well go. :o)
