hard drive un-partitioning

How do I un-partition a hard drive on a win 95 pc?

Hi stevedunham, I think you need to get a Windows 98 boot floppy. This will give you access to the DOS FDISK command which should then enable you to remove the partition. If you want to remove the partition without losing the data on the drive, you will need to get a utility like Partition Magic. The older versions are sometimes available on magazine cover disks, or you can download a trial version (32Mb) from click here

I'm not an ace on partitioning/formatting, but i think you'll have to reformat again to make 1 partition, if that's what you want. (and lose data).

Steve and Michelle, have a look at this site to find more about FDISK. It has a very useful simulation of the FDISK process with screen shots to guide you.
