hard drive space

please help someone, every time i boot up i am losing disk space on my c drive even tho i have uninstalled files i now have no space left on my drive i cannot even defrag because of low disk space

Is the space restored when you reboot?

i would imagine it is because you have a small amount of memory and you are using the virtual memeory (which in fact is hard drive space), if thats the case then a memory upgrade would sort it out fairly cheaply. if not then maybe its something not quite so nice such as virus/trojan infection.

let us know some more details about your system and we should have a better idea.

i have 256mb ram 6gb internal hard drive 120gb extenal hard drive and i have just lost 20mb of disk space on my c drive after bootin up
