hello there, my problem is that...

a while ago my graphics card stopped working, so i bought a new one (that is compatible), then shortly after that this one stopped working. my pc wont start with it enabled, it only let me log into windows when i went into safe mode and disable the graphics card, when i enable it the pc restarts then wont load windows just resets itself when it is about to.

new ram too by the way

many thanks in advance...

Firstly you mention new RAM as well. Take it out. The thing to do is check each component seperatly. Try without the memory and see if its ok, if it is you know its the memory. Then post back if its still locking up as you will probably need to delete the drivers are reinstall. Will need more info if you post back. operating system, how much memory, what card you had and what card you have now plus dis you delete the drivers for the old card before you switched off and plugged in the new one.

All good advice from Totally-braindead
At the end of the investigation I have a horrid feeling that you may have a second duff graphics card.
