Graphics card causing After Effects to crash

I have an issue with my graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GTX960m) that is causing my copy of adobe after effects to crash. To get the software to load i need to disable the card and let after effects run off the Intel graphics. Unfortunately, this card isn't enough for me to do any substantial work, and AE crashes regardless.

The issue ONLY happens with AE, everything else is fine (Premiere pro, photoshop, gaming). I did speak to an adobe rep but the extent of that was just "replace the card" But i'm a student, that's not an enticing idea.

I'm very stuck here, i need to do the work for my university course, can anyone think of what might be the problem and any work arounds?

Using an MSI GE72 Apache Pro, running Win 10

Yes, sometimes, the graphic driver may cause the video editing and game stuttering, so try to uninstall the graphic driver with DDU then goes to the official site to download the latest version. Uninstall the graphic driver view here: click here
