Got new laptop, new to gaming, what can I play?

So i'm new to PC gaming but I don't have a clue about what kind of games I can run, here is some of my specs:

1024mb RAM

Intel 943GML (Calistoga) + ICH7-M 128Mb supports Intel GMA 950??

Windows Vista

I can play the sims 2 smoothly but counter strike source and half life 2 have choppy framerates but look fine

any advice (interested in FPS)

Will rock ( great fun ) and serious sam should run smoothly as they are low spec games but good fps fun.
clive barkers undying is an excellent game and will run perfectly on your pc.

Older games that run on Vista would be ok, anything new just forget it. Laptop graphics are poor and thats what the problem is. The rest of the spec is nice enough its the graphics that will stop you playing games and theres nothing you can do about that.
There was a list going the rounds with games listed on it that run fine on Vista but I don't have a link to it. If someone else can provide it and you go for games that are not graphically demanding most of them will run.

Im not really looking for high graphic quality games, thanks for the link beb half life 2 should run fine if I get latest drivers for this, anyone know good websites for drivers for intel graphics cards and sound cards?

You will not be able to run newer games that require any decent graphic processing because of your graphics card.
