Google question... text on "Google" page

  mooly 18:17 04 Dec 2009

Vista and IE8

The classic Google home page we all know,

Why does this happen sometimes and how do you stop it... is it a Google thing, or something my end...
On the Google page the top line of text where it says Web Images Maps etc and the text lower down, Advertising Programs, Business Solutions etc for some reason ONLY appears when I move the cursor over the page.
Also that text is in a very fine font... almost spidery. If I click "images" the text is normal.

Also if I click "refresh" while on "Web" the text dissapears again until I move the cursor back over the page.
Do that on images and the text remains as normal.

Is this happening to anyone else ?

Should add this happened once before and clearing all history and cookies strangely seemed to correct it but not today.

it's happened to me just now, using Opera 10.1

I'm sure it wasn't like that when I used it last night.

So it's not just me then :) It's happened since around 2pm today.

I'm experiencing the same.I thought it was down to the internet being slow, but maybe Google have a problem.
Perhaps Google should Google for the answer?

Strange one this. Clicking on your link shows error on page. Clicking on icon in favourites bar shows the same page with done shown. Once I lower the pointer down to the page then the text etc. fade in correctly.
Tried it a few times and results are the same.
