Look here and see if a missing or damaged file is the problem click here

Here is how to restore a non-corrupt version of autoexec.nt

1. Place your Windows XP CD into your drive
2. Go to Start Menu
3. Click Run
4. Type cmd and press enter
5. In the command prompt window type the following:

expand D:\I386\autoexec.nt_ C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt

That should sort your problem out.

The problem initially is because (i guess) you are trying to uninstall a 16-bit game, and if that file is corrupt, or has invalid entries, the Windows 16-bit subsystem does not work.

Hope this sorts your problem.

Or click here then on XP_FIX.EXE to download the fix.
