Can anyone recommend a programme that will STOP data miner and other pieces of spyware rubbish being put on my system?
I find this most intrusive and shoudl be banned!

Don't forget SpywareBlaster...

Apologies to PvG. I have Adaware and Spybot on my PC but (unlike AVG) they don't seem to run in the background and stop spyware from being installed. I seem to have to run both programmes manually daily which then finds and deletes the spyware. Unless I haven't set them up properly???

Neither Adaware nor Spybot run in the background, as far as I know - they are tools to be run manually as required.

Run SpywareBlaster in conjunction with Adaware. Both work a treat together.[Links above].

SpyBot is going through a change of programme format at present, so perhaps best to wait for this one.

A read through the AdAware Help section will clarify its various configurations.
