getting rid of preinstalled components on restore

  [DELETED] 21:59 23 Nov 2003

i would be interested to see if I could find a way of preventing my PC pre-installing all the sh.. erm i mean programs i will never use when i use the restore floppy to set my pc to factory settings it seems to add a great deal of time to the set up after restore and I'm a little dubious about self uninstalling them... its not really a problem as such but time ... like an early bus... waits for no man :)

i have two options when i use my recovery disc.

"restore to factory settings"(installs everything to the state it was in when you first got it,including all the junk)

"windows only" (just windows xp without the software)
