getting rid of a Partition

  dangerusone 09:02 28 Oct 2015

I have an old PC bought off eBay with no HDD, I put in an old 80GB that I had and it only showed 40GB I was told the original would have been 40GB, I found the lost 40 in disc management and allocated athe letter "E" and it was recognised as an active Partion. what I want is to return it to the original 80GB, how do I do this?

You will need third party software as you can't merge the windows partition from within windows

Easus is free follow the instructions here

Hi Fruitbat, I managed to do it with Disc Management after a bit of messing I cleared the volume in the Patition then right clicked on "C" and got the option to "extend volume " I just kept pressing next and it change to the 80GB. As I say I only got the PC to mess with and try and learn a bit more so it didn't matter if I messed things up. Thanks for your reply.
