Is this a genuine message from Microsoft regarding

I have just had an email from Microsoft saying that i need to upgrade my Skype by clicking on their button. doing that, produces a message that "skype:?home" may have a potential security concern.

Is this a standard message, and do I need to worry about it?

Such emails are known as "spoof" or "phishing" emails. The people who send them hope that you will give them sensitive personal information, or click a link in the email to go to a fraudulent web site, or open an attachment that could install potentially malicious software on your computer. If you receive an email like this, please forward it to us at [email protected]
