Generic memory (any good)

hi all,
Could i have your advise on Generic memory, is it a cheap alternative? or is it rubbish.?
I understand Samsung are one of the leaders for memory chips. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

generic memory is absolutely fine for any computing environment, more expensive modules tend to come into their own in dual channel situations and where memory intensive tasks are called upon. On the whole i doubt the average home user would notice any difference.

Totally agree with De Marcus - have always bought Generic memory without problem.

Thanks guys interesting comments. DE Marcus when you talk about dual channel do you mean DDr DDr-2 where the memory works on both sides of the chip like this
