Generic host process for Win 32 services error

  MiniB 12:44 12 Aug 2003

I have a PC running Windows XP, and got this error message the other day. I was asked if I wanted to report the message to Microsoft, said yes, and then got another error saying the remote host connection hadn't worked and the PC had to shut down. Now every time I start up with my broadband connection working the same thing happens and the PC is automatically shut down again.

I am thinking that perhaps the remote host file is corrupt - not really sure.

Can anyone help?

Thanks so much.
