Without a budget to work with it is fairly impossible to advise you. So first things first how much dose are you willing to spend?please remember a decent gaming rig does not nessessarily come cheap. Second thing is what sort of games are you in to?
Thanks, I did mean to mention a budget but somehow forgot. The little I've looked into it a straight forward rig is approx £550 but to be honest with getting a monitor and a few other bits as well I wouldnt be looking to spend a massive amount more than that without good justification. That said I dont want to end up with something that doesnt keep up.
I was also thinking a good gaming PC would be good for photo editing etc but correct me of I'm wrong.
As for the types of games, The Old Republic, Mass Effect, Battlefield and racing games.
At the end of the day I dont want to spend any money on something rubbish and would be happier to save a little longer to get something of a good standard so let me know what you think.
Sorry, just to clarify the £550 is that including monitor, keyboard, mouse?because you might be struggling to get a decent gaming rig for that sort of money. I'll have a look around tomorrow see what I can find, but I would suggest saving another couple of hundred and at least you will get something quite reasonable, and something that you will be able upgrade easily in the future.
I will admit I am not the best at looking for prebuilt systems as I have always built my own, but I am fairly good at components and I am a gamer,(FPS'S)so have an idea of gaming specs.
Looking into it a little further the £550 is just the tower, not even an operating system. Cyberpower seem to have a good offer on Yesterday, but seems to have gone now, an amd system that works out at £750 keyboard, monitor etc and opprrating system.
I'm kind of saying I dont have a budget as such but want a decent unit but don't know how much that is. Would be willing to stretch to £750 for a good unit but would have to save a little but longer to wt there.
I think it might be better if you had a look around for something that you quite like the look of and then post a link here and I will take a look and see if it can be tweaked or not. Here are a few places to look.
Hi, this is one I have seen and seems like quite a good system but if you do have time to cast your eye it would be appreciated. The only problem is I do need to save a little longer but thats my problem.
