Would anyone care to offer an opinion as to how a PC compares to a Sony Playstation2 for someone who wants a computer for games? After all, the playstation is only a fraction of the price of a games PC and yet both platforms offer the same games.

How would you people put a PC together for the best or todays top games.

I have some that either need more VIRTUAL MEMORY
or lock up the PC when instaling or before.

I must have got the last PC in JAN 2005 from TINY/ TIME now they have gone into liquidation
am stuck, would like to upgrade, but am baffled with all the different bits and pieces.
ANY IDEAS OUT THERE.

THANKYOU ARNY

Arny if you start your own thread then im sure someone will point you in the right direction.

Paula Michelle I think the best bet would be to go for a game console, but it does depend on what type of games you like to play. Things like C&C can't be beaten on a PC in my opinion.

You could go and spend full wack on a top notch gaming pc and find in 3-6months that you need to be upgrading to play the latest. You don't have this problem with a console.

I would second whoever said about waiting for the release of the PS3 thou.
