I have a fx 5200, athlon xp 2600+, 1gb ram which seems to work fine on my pc with new games if i have them running at low resolution and they look fine with anti-aniliasing set to 4x.I'm thinking of upgrading my gfx card will i get any real improvement for a gfx card under £200 or do i have to shell out for a top notch gfx card ?

fx5200 is very poor for games, it is underpowered. A fx5700 ultra is much better or there could be some bargains on 9700pro cards with the new radeon cards having come out. The 9700pro is still very fast.

I'm sure you could get yuorself an authentic ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128mb for under 200 squids, have a look click here=

I went for a 9800Pro 256mb version about 5 months ago for 290 squids. Don't really need the extra 128mb though.
