  [DELETED] 20:11 27 Jul 2003

I used to be a member of lineone.net b4 they changed to tiscali (which u now have to pay for) but i have just found out that i can still alter my websites which are still there after all these years, the only problem is i have to use an ftp to transfer files to my webspace but tiscali provide no information on how to configure the ftp for old lineone accounts. Anyone have any suggestions

after you have clicked on the link, make sure you type in your user name and password

to do that, click on file>"log in as"

The log-in is now click here but I'm not sure if you have to put /~username or just ~username after that.

You also have to be logged into that account to find out your details and also connected to the internet via Tiscali.

At the time of writing this I'm connected via Pipex and it won't let me in.

I'll find out more later.

When you say you have to ftp it do you mean via the browser or by using Ws.FTP

I upload to my space using Ws and in:
Host Name/Address I have click here

Host Type is Automatic

User ID is [email protected]

Password is whatever yours is.

You have to be connected to Tiscali to upload your files.

This is the Tiscali page for WsFTP click here

I hope this is of some use.

I still have websites posted with lineone.net

After it changed to tiscali you had to change your username with your line one e-mail address.

the ftp is website.lineone.net
username is [email protected] and your password

you can also have sub accounts that allow you to post more than one site, this is just a case of changing your username
