I have a Sony VAIO FX604 running XP. It works perfectly and other than loading on some good quality games (and since deleting them) I tend not to use other applications save the usual cam/MediaPlayer, etc stuff; so the system's reasonably uncluttered.
However, I suffer from a frozen screen at least twice a day now. I've looked all through the drives, ensuring no old programs/shortcuts/ folders are there, etc but can't figure out what's causing the freezing. Temperatures of disk and chips seem fine. Disc scans, etc show up no problems and the system is well maintained and has Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus protection and all the usual XP live updates.
I don't want to have to re-install Windows as this sounds like a major headache.
Is there anything in particular I should be looking at?
