freecom dvb tv stick not working with laptop

  steve0 08:48 11 Dec 2005

Just bought one of these usb tv sticks. It works great with desktop machine but gives very jerky pictures on my Dell laptop Inspiron 5150. Laptop exceeds all requirements of ram, processor graphics etc recommended by Freecom.

Any one else use this and have problems

Still not working - any ideas?

I've had one for a couple of months or so. Been great until recently when all our Freeview boxes suddenly started having problems getting a good signal.

How bad is the picture?

Hi Paul
Picture is perfect, but very jerky. On my desktop it is fine - signal strength is at maximum

I downloaded a program called Speedswitchxp. It allows you to force the processor to run at the full speed of 3.2 GHz and not at the normal speed of 1.6GHz. Once I had done this it now runs the tv card perfectly.
