Freecom DVB-T TV tuner

Hi, i have a Freecom DVB-T TV tuner and am recieving various differnt channels but some only appear in black and no sound. Its not that the signal is bad as both of the signal bars are in green/yellow and the green light on the USB stick is on and not flashing. Any reason for this happeneing or could it be that its just bad signal but im not being told that?
Any suggestions would be great thanks!

(channels im having problems with are UKTVGold and Eurosport, thats it i think)

Those channels are encrypted, and you will need to pay a subscription.

Some DVB's are like that, they pickup channels that you have to pay for by putting a card in. But this does not work with USB cards

Ju8st a small point.

If when you do the initial scan, there are any TV channels not broadcasting at the time, you will not be able to access them.

For instance, BBC3 & BBC 4 don't start transmition until 7pm, so if you do the initial scan prior to this, they won't show up

This is unlike a normal set top box, where the are programmed to recognise the transmitter, and will set themselves up to receive what's available whether it's transmitting at the time of scan or not.

So if you are missing any, rescan when they are transmitting.
