Anyone know of any good free defrag software, preferably with a setting where it will defrag either to a schedule or whenver it is needed.

Thanks for the reply. I think that is a bit more restrictive than i had hoped but may give a try.

Diskeeper Lite is very similar to the defrag programme included with Win-XP.

I suspect that you are unlikely to find a freebie to do what you require. I have the full Diskeeper, which does. However, it will cost you about £23.

Anyway, perhaps someone else will know of a suitable free one with the same facilities.

I`ve got a product called Magic Defrag from
Ashampoo. It works in the background. I can`t remember what it cost, not a lot, but it works for me.

O&O Defrag V8.0 is superb but costs $44.95. However if you have a look in your local Newsagent you will find that one of this months magazines has an earlier version on the cover mount disc, (can't remember which mag but you will spot it easily).
