Frame rates , fullscreen

Hi, I'm having a puzzling crysis in my hand when it comes to frame rates/ tearing etc. I recently think i fixed my screen tearing by overclocking my target frames to 144 hz and by putting my games to windowed or borderless screen.

However i dont understand why the jittering or screen tearing happens when i put the games at fullscreen ? Is it because my specs can't handle it and if so what would i need to fix it?. Also i would like to ask Which scaling mode is best:aspect ratio ?, Fullscreen ? or no scaling?.

My computer specs are:

Power Supply: Corsair CX750 750 w

Processor: Intel Core I5 4670k 3.4Ghz - Highly Overcloackable

Ram: 8GB. Corsair DDR3 XMS3 1600MHz/PC12800

Motherboard: Asus Z87-K

Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 2GB

Hard drive: 500GB, 7200 RPM, 16MB cache. Seagate barrucuda

Monitor: BenQ XL243OT
