Hi folks, just downloaded this program and I don't seem to be able to locate the search facility, I can find the search text dialogue box but unlike Acrobat8 reader I need to be able to search individual drives & directories....how do I do this?
Hi Stuartli, yeah I got that, but what I'm after is a search engine for example, the January PCA 2007 DVD came with a PCA Archive in pdf format which I have copied onto my E Drive which is a totally separate HDD, so when I need to search a specific topic I use the search engine in Acrobat which comes up in a separate window, but foxit doesn't seem to have this facility.
This reason I fancy a change is Acrobate or should I call just Reader is some 117Mb + 16MB for the Chinese Traditional Font Support-bloatware to me, compared to Foxit's 8.45Mb, yes I know, albeit very basic.
Thank you for your input, have decided to keep & use both as a lot of my work is saved to this format. Foxit is excellent and very quick and simple to use whereas Acrobat has has the edge with a powerful search engine and email facilities which I need.
Anyway thanks again.
