My sister was dusting her family's PC last weekend whilst it was switched on. the F10 button was accidentally depressed while performing this delicate procedure and has wiped four years of family photographs. I do not doubt that they were the usual tedious photographs that she keeps of her family and the budgie - mainly the budgie - but they would very much like to retrieve them. Can anyone help?
The system is very much a mysteryto me, but is a CompaQ desktop and there were no restore points and no backups kept.
I think I know the answer is 'no chance', but thought i would try you knowledgeable folk before I break the news. They have come across a tool called "Getbackdata" or something of that type. Does anyone know how they can retrieve the files/folders, or if there is a more free tool for the task. £60 is the charge if he uses the above software?
