Hi, Is anyone out there running either 'Hide Folders in XP' or '1securitycenter' ?? Are they any good? Ideally i'd like to password protect justa few folders but these progs seem to be the only option... thanksinadvance

Steganos is excellent, I'm not sure of the address try steganos.com. PC Advisor gave it as a freebie in one of their editions last year

If it just personal folders - WINZIP, allows you to password protect them.

cheers for the suggestions both; I don't really want to encrypt files as they take up too much space as with Steganos and while you can password protect Winzip there's nothing to stop another user simply deleting the folder!! My probs stem from the fact that altho i run XP the file system is FAT32 and there is zilch security from prying eyes or deleting fingers!!
