Folder options customisations not saved

Just a quick question. Recently I have noticed that none of my personal customisations to windows folders are being saved, in Windows XP. I think it was the result of me 'applying settings to all folders', however no matter what i do I cannot get it to remember any settings, I have tried enabling and disabling remember each folders custom view. I have also edited the registry;
I Deleted, and then recreated the following DWORD values;

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam

And set bothn values to 5000.

None of this has helped. I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas of anything to try.

I have followed the info from your link and everything is OK now. I must have done something wrong before.
