firefox so slow to open up

hi everyone

please i need your help.

i have laptop dual core T5450,1.66ghz,2 mb memory,windows vista home premier edition.

i like firefox web browser,i hate windows explorer.

everytimes i try to open firefox,it took me ages to open up,sometimes i have to wait 2 minutes to open up.

if i click firefox example 5 times trying to open up,after 2 minutes it open up all the same times(5 times).

i have other web browser(opera,chrome).but i use mainly firefox.

can anyone please tell me how to speed up firefox to openup?

It might be my imagination but Firefox seems to open a bit quicker after applying these tweaks from Gnoted click here though I've never had to wait more than 20 secs or so for it to load.

You could try the Firefox Preloader:
click here
It will load a lot of Firefox at system startup but ,of course,adds to the startup time.
The firefox load time itself can depend on how many add-ons and extensions you have running.

i would like to thank you all for all the help i received from have been so helpful and kind.

i followed all the link,now is much faster than before.

about 10 seconds it open up.

As you have several browsers available, ensure that Firefox is the Default browser.
