From what I've read on the Firefox support forums, the release date for version 1.0 keeps slipping. From what I could gather, v1.0 is targeted for a mid December release, but it's more likely to be around February.

dagwoood - ok; the last I heard was mid-October! But I am very happy with .93 - as indeed I was with Phoenix and Firebird too.

Now running (and posting with) Firefox 1.0 - thanks.

Benzo - I wouldn't have put it quite like that but I agree.

Diodorus Siculus, it was targeted for mid October but the goalposts have moved :0)

Did you uninstall the old one first, or will it go on top. Or come to that if it's totally different will it run side by side to try.

It's got to be better than v0.9.03 that I'm using, even if it is a pre-release. I would be interested in the answer to rawprawn's question, if anyone has tried either method.

Downloaded the newer version yesterday morning. The advice is to uninstall the previous version before installing the newer one. Some people on another forum had problems by just installing over the top.

The newer version runs fine.
