firefox fasterfox or firetune or both

which is the better of the two ad-ons or can they both go on. or are they about the same as each other any opinions please.

I use Firetune Firefox - it certainly saves a lot of manual work...:-)

Strongly recommend you don't use either.
The way they both work is to increase the number of connections to websites in an effort to speed up the loading of webpages.
This will eventually lead to the overload of server connections and some sites will not load at all as you will be disconnected.
At best they are anti social (Firefox loads fast enough anyway) at worst you will be excluded from sites.

thanks for the replies, i use ie7 a lot of the time by also use firefox.

in the past i had used some manual tweaks but not noticed much improvement, just pondering on these two at present.

Your narrow definition of the allround benefits of Firetune Firefox and Faster Firefox is misplaced.

I have to agree with Stuartli,i have used Firetune and Fasterfox for a long time now on 5 machines and no problems to date.

ashdav is most likely referring to the Speed Tweak (for IE) as in this example:
