Finding a File

I know that there is a Video file of approx. 2.8Gb on my C Drive which I want to delete, how do I find it if I don't know its name?

Do you know what the file extension is? If you do you can do a wildcard search by doing example *.doc

Start - Search - Pictures, Music or Video then tick Video - Search.

Thanks, but it is a Folder - should have said so.

Is there an option for searching by size? Not on Windows at the moment so can't check...

Found loads, unfortunately no Folders.

Try Tree Size: click here

This shows folders by size. You can even delete from the program.

Look for large files and put the sizes over 2Gb

Thanks to all for the suggestions - Diodorus Siculus' suggestion seems to be the way to go, still haven't found it though!

FelixTCat, is that for Mac only?

  Salinger 20:58 25 Feb 2005

Actually, I think I miscounted but the tips will come in useful!
