Files and settings transfer problem

  Taurus 10:15 22 Mar 2005

When I recently installed a new disk I successfully used the files and settings transfer utility to transfer the information from the old to the new disc. However, I have recently had to do a full formatted reinstal of Windows xp (SP2 problems!!)and now I find that the files and settings I saved (two versions, 1, settings only on two floppy disks and 2, files and settings on a second hard drive) do not work, that is the wizard complains that the floppys are the wrong ones and that the hard drive version is not recognised. I'm sure that this is due to the fact that they were saved when the machine was running SP2 and is now trying to read them under a standard install of XP. Is there some way I can get XP to read the settings without reinstalling SP2.

Many thanks
