Filehippo Updater

I've got Filehippo (UDC) installed which lists updates and offers downloads to my computer. Yesterday I downloaded Google Earth 4.2.0205 from it. Next time I booted up I coldn't get my Outlook Express to work, it displayed error. Same thing today. I've system restored back to my original Google Earth and managed to access my e-mails so far. Anyone know if 4.2.0205 is a beta and could Filehippo's upgrade be responsible for my problem? Also, looking at my screen UDC itself has beta written next to it. Anyone advise?

The latest Google Earth does not appear to be a Beta although previous versions were. click here

It could have been a bad download.

I've never had any problem using the UDC program.

All it does is check version numbers against what is listed on Filehippo. When you click a program to download, it goes to their page anyway and you can see down the right hand side the different versions and if they are Beta or not.
