File will not see document.

Hello, when i download a form or a document from a web site e,g travel insurance or a receipt or something i have booked:
the Pc shows me a 'red icon' which is the microsoft picture library image.

When you click on it, it does not open to see the document you have just down loaded.

Can any one suggest what has happened or steps to help me change this to view the files? I am on Vista and using M/s office 2003 thankyou.

Are they pdf files? and do you adobe reader installed?

  Terry Brown 11:49 25 Mar 2010

1-- Do you have a printer installed?
2--As Jolly John says, most files of this type are Adobe files, and you need to download that.
3-- Try Right clicking on file and select 'open with', select the default option
