file association

Hi all
I have a DVD of Yamaha keyboard sounds but cannot play it I get the massage
This file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action.Create an association in the folder option control panel.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

First, we/you need to know: what is the file extension for the Yamaha sounds? For example, Word 2003 documents have the extension .doc, Excel 2003 files have the extension .xls. Then, you/we need to identify a program capable of working with files with this extension. After that, you'd need to install it. Last step might be needing to associate these file extensions with that program - but first things first...

Hi Ian in Northampton,and crossbow7.thanks for your prompt response to my question,crossbow I took the easy option and downloaded Blaze dvd free from the list you sent and the Yamaha dvd plays fine so thanks a lot to you both
