fdisk can't find missing gigs!

i have just fdisked my old hdd (was Win ME fat32) using w98se startup disk, i can now only see 32gb of my 60gb hdd - why is this? please help!

Try deleting the primary partition then reformat

Another idea.........Start with option 4 which should show the present arrangement of partitions and then delete the extended partition/s first.

Next delete the primary partition..... and finally make the new partition or partitions starting with the Primary and allocating the size you want.

You should delete all, primary and extended partitions, and then create new before formatting

Diemmess i had not deleted the extended partition, thanks to all for the help.
