Faxing over broadband

I understand that you can't fax over broadband. Is there any free programs or fax services anyone could recommend that i could use to send faxes?
Don't really want to set up a dialup modem.

There's no need to "set up" a dial-up modem.

Plug it into the 'phone end of your ADSL filter, use a conventional fax program (Windows XP has one) and off you go.

Santos - is this a free service?

At time of writing (October 2003), the costs of the efax service are £30 to £80 per year for a national (0870) and local (0845) rate number respectively for receiving inbound faxes with a setup fee of £19.99 (excluding VAT). Outbound faxes can be sent from a pre-payment rate starting at 10p for a 30 second fax to 2.5p if your call spend exceeds £1,000 per month. More details are available on their website

Yes but it will not go to a Fax machine. It is still a E-Mail

The only way is a Dial-Up modem and software. A pay as you go is not going to cost much to send a Fax
