Whats the comand you put into run so that when the computer is next rebooted XP changes the harddrive Fat32 > NTFS ?

strange, did you force a dismount?

try

convert c /fs:ntfs

or

convert c: /fs:ntfs

from a dos prompt. It'll tell you that it can't gain access to the volume and will ask if you want to complete the procedure after you reboot.

note spaces in between commands

how do i force a dismount?

All that happens when i put the command in it opens the c: drive explorer which it didnt do on my other computer which i converted..

oh and i Cut+Paste command...
