I have just purchased Family tree maker 2005 deluxe, I was running the standard trial edition I uninstalled the Trial edition and installed the deluxe edition it works perfectly except it will not allow me to view certain features, keeps saying this feature is not available in standard edition requesting me to buy full version.
I am running Windows 7 is it compatible with Family tree maker.

Have you registered it yet?

I run the 2006 version of this on XP, but can find no reference as to whether it is compatible with W7. I suggest you contact Ancestry click here and ask. I have a feeling they may tell you that you need the 2010 version.

You need to run this special update to allow it to function correctly with Win 7

.....did that work OK for you? It may well be helpful to others in the future to know the outcome.
